Although they are defined as weapons that use chemicals formulated to cause pain or death. I have come to wonder how are these any different from other large scale weapons. Bombs are chemicals formulated for the same reason so why are they classified different. It all stems from the effects they have same with nuclear and biological weapons. Chemical weapons are different because they can lie in wait and permeate and destroy many many things for years.
